Attwood and Sawyer 22ct Gold Plated Swarovski Crystal Openwork Dragonfly (Small) featuring a pretty openwork dragonfly with red, green and blue accent Swarovski crystals and clear Swarovski pave crystal-edged wings and tail. This lovely brooch measures 2.9cm tall and 3.9cm at its widest point and it weighs 6.1g.  It has a rollover safety clasp and it is signed on the reverse 'A&S'

The dragonfly symbolises wisdom, change, transformation, light and adaptability in life. It shows up in people's lives to remind them that they need to bring a lightness and joy to their life. The dragonfly is also a symbol of the "realm of emotions" from joy and happiness to melancholy, sadness, anger, jealousy and all of the other emotions. It is also considered a symbol of transformation because of the way that it grows.

Attwood and Sawyer was founded in 1956 in Porthcawl, Wales by Mr Horace Attwood and Mr Sawyer. Many of the designs, now highly collectible, were inspired by historical references, including their most recognisable collection inspired by the jewellery collection of the Duchess of Windsor. Popular in the UK and Europe, they went on to produce the jewellery for the television series Dynasty.
