Attwood and Sawyer (A&S) Goldplate, Crystal and Faux Pearl Round Pierced Earrings

Attwood and Sawyer (A&S) Goldplate, Crystal and Faux Pearl Round Clip On Earrings. [p] These lovely pierced earrings are gold plated with sparkly clear faceted crystals set around a central faux pearl with lovely iridescence. They are 2.2cm diameter and Weigh 7g each and 14g in total.

They are in excellent vintage condition. There is no wear to the metal on either of the earrings, but on close inspection one of the stones on one earring has gone pale with age and there is a slight peeling on the pearl at the side of the same earring, which interestingly reveals another layer of irridescense beneath. The 'A&S' stamp for Attwood and Sawyer is present on the back. 

Attwood and Sawyer was founded in 1956 in Porthcawl, Wales by Mr Horace Attwood and Mr Sawyer. Many of the designs, now highly collectible, were inspired by historical references, including their most recognisable collection inspired by the jewellery collection of the Duchess of Windsor. Popular in the UK and Europe, they went on to produce the jewellery for the television series Dynasty.
