Dorothy Secatero Sterling 'DS' Navajo Green Turquoise Cluster Pierced Earrings featuring vintage Navajo earrings handcrafted by silversmith Dorothy Secatero in the late 20th century, likely the 1980s. Signed "STERLING" and with her "DS" hallmark on the reverse.  Each sterling silver rectangle features a cluster of eight natural olive-green turquoise cabochons, hand-set in classic scalloped bezels.  The cabochons showcase dramatic undulating brown limonite spiderweb matrix, bumpy ridges of rusty iron oxides, sandy quartz tans, and earthy veining that catch the light with subtle depth.

Sourced from premium iron-rich Southwestern deposits like Royston, Nevada, these rarer green stones (less common in Secatero's work than her signature blues) evoke Diné themes of renewal and protection, with varying rich olive tones.  Each cabochon averages 1cm high by 0.8cm wide, with a polished yet textured surface that highlights the natural drama.

The earrings measure 3.3cm high by 2.6cm wide overall (including posts) and weigh 27.6g as a pair, displaying lovely original patina to the silver on the front.  We've included brand-new oversized 925 sterling silver backs for added comfort.
