Joan Rivers Large Dragonfly Resin 'Plique a Jour' Brooch

Joan Rivers Large Dragonfly Resin 'Plique a Jour' Brooch featuring a large dragonfly brooch using translucent resin in a beautiful array of colours to imitate the labour intensive vitreous enamelling technique 'plique a jour' (French 'letting in daylight').  The dragonfly has orange resin eyes and the two wings are also dotted with vari colour small round rhinestones and with larger green oval glass cabochons at  the tips.  The design includes an oversized pink pearl for the abdomen.  The resin 'plique a jour' tail is part articulated with two round bezel set green rhinestones and finishes with a single teardrop purple rhinestone.   It is signed on the reverse 'JOAN RIVERS ©' and 'THAILAND'.  It measures 7.7cm tall and 9.4cm at its widest point and it weighs 20.2g.  A lovely brooch
