Victorian Scottish Carnelian Moss Agate and Marcasite C Clasp Bar Brooch c. 1880–1900 featuring a late Victorian semi-translucent carnelian moss agate cabochon showing dendritic inclusions in red-orange and dark green and olive tones. The cabochon is set in four claws in unmarked silver with marcasite accents and milgrain detail, and secured by a C clasp. It measures approximately 6.4cm long, the cabochon measures 1.2cm high and 1.6cm wide and 0.4cm deep and the brooch weighs 5.3g.
The brooch has a lovely patina, the clasp is secure, and there are no chips to the cabochon. The vintage box has been used for visual aesthetics and is not included in the price.
