Philippe Ferrandis Huge Antique Bronze Double Flat Link Brown, Black and Striped Topaz Glass Statement Necklace and Bracelet Set

Philippe Ferrandis Huge Antique Bronze Double Flat Link Brown, Black and Striped Topaz Glass Statement Necklace and Bracelet Set featuring a statement necklace and bracelet set both with chunky antique bronze double flat link chains from Philippe Ferrandis, 'the poet of costume jewellery'.  The bracelet has a large claw set rectangular faceted topaz glass stone with oval striped brown topaz cabochons, one on each side.  The necklace mirrors the bracelet and the integral pendant comprises a large claw set rectangular faceted topaz glass stone at the centre framed by six vari size striped brown topaz glass oval cabochons and six vari size black glass round cabochons, with a pear-shaped black glass dropper below.  

The necklace has an S hook clasp and measures 41cm long and the extender with a black glass round finial measures 8cm long for extra lengths, as seen in the photographs, and it weighs 171.2g.  The bracelet has a slide clasp and measures 18.5cm long and 4.3cm wide and weighs 120.8g.  Both pieces are signed 'Philippe Ferrandis Paris' on oval cartouches, on the back of the integral pendant, and on the back of the bracelet clasp and each with Philippe Ferrandis branded red velvet pouches and one large branded box.

Philippe Ferrandis, a Parisian costume jewellery designer, founded his atelier in 1986 after being inspired by an antique brooch discovered in his grandmother’s jewellery box. Born into a family of artists, Ferrandis developed a passion for jewellery through its representations in art and painting, leading him to launch his eponymous brand.  Known as the 'poet of costume jewellery' he creates nature-inspired designs, often featuring floral motifs, using materials like Swarovski crystals, art glass, and gold-tone metals, all handcrafted in his Parisian workshop.  His bold, spectacular pieces have earned him the prestigious EPV (Living Heritage Company) label and collaborations with couture houses such as Chanel, Balmain, and Nina Ricci.  Ferrandis produces two collections annually, blending noble, natural materials with contemporary and baroque aesthetics, which have been sold globally in boutiques and department stores like Harrods and Saks Fifth Avenue since the late 1980s.
