Piscitelli Black Enamel Modernist Clip On Earrings featuring a mirror-finish, smooth gold plated domed oval design, accentuated by a graduated channel of bold black enamel.  Measuring 3.6cm high and 2.7cm at their widest point, this fabulous pair of earrings offer a substantial yet elegant look.  They weigh 24.5g and the reverse of one earring bears the signature 'Piscitelli©' in script on a rectangular cartouche - the modernist style and copyrighted 'Piscitelli©' signature suggest these earrings hail from the 1970s to 1980s.  

Founded by Joseph P. Piscitelli, Sr., an American designer of Italian descent, the Piscitelli jewellery brand began in the late 1950s as 'PIM', named after its founder.  Initially operating out of Cranston, Rhode Island, the family run business produced high end costume jewellery, handcrafted with premium materials like gold plated alloys, enamel, and rhinestones.  By 1960, PIM was renamed Piscitelli Co.
