Birmingham 18ct Gold Tourmaline and Illusion-Set Diamond Ring 1971 featuring four illusion-set small diamonds surrounding a raised central claw-set dark green tourmaline, blending 1970s design with elegant craftsmanship. The illusion setting enhances the diamonds’ sparkle, while the tourmaline adds a vibrant focal point, forest green in sunlight. The openwork shanks include barrel elements on either side, adding a decorative, architectural touch typical of the era. The band is hallmarked with a crown, "18," an anchor for Birmingham, and the date letter "W," indicating it was hallmarked in 1971, as well. as the makers letters 'FG'. It weighs 2.6g and is size R (UK) 8 1/2 (US) and 58.5 (European) and the tourmaline stone is approximately .20ct. A lovely 18ct gold tourmaline ring, with a lovely feminine setting.
