She founded Dorothy Bauer Designs in 1982, originally named A Piece of the Rainbow, crafting sculptural brooches, charm bracelets, and festive holiday-themed pieces. Her jewellery, celebrated for its bold colours and playful motifs, was sold in major department stores like Macy’s before the company closed in 2008.
