Armand Bargas Lady In Flowered Hat Brooch - a lovely antique Edwardian Art Nouveau French brooch featuring a pretty young lady in a flowered hat signed A Bargas on the front of the brooch at the back of the hat. It is brass covered with silver and has a trombone clasp. It has lovely detailed relief and it measures 4.6cm diameter and weighs 17.4g. Armand Bargas was a medalist who worked in Paris in the late 19th and early 20th century. He was also a medal engraver, a painter and a draftsman, as well as being a member of the "Society of French Artists". In addition to his main work, he created a variety of belt buckles and buttons typically Art Nouveau.
