Miracle Celtic Art Glass and Enamel Dragon Brooch featuring a rectangular design with chamfered corners and comprising a claw-set mottled red and black oval art glass cabochon at the centre, with two mottled red and black round art glass cabochons either side, and triangular sections of a rich deep red enamel inlaid at each corner. Open work dragons are positioned above and below the central cabochon. This wonderful piece of jewellery celebrating Wales has a rollover clasp and is signed 'MIRACLE' on the reverse. It measures 3.3cm high and 4.2cm wide and it weighs 15.9g.
Miracle jewellery is a collectable British UK Jewellery brand. The company was started in the late 1946 by A Hill and Company and was based in Birmingham. Taking inspiration from ancient jewellery finds, they became leading British designers of Celtic Jewellery, Sottish Jewellery and Irish Jewellery. They have also made some stunning Mackintosh, Renaissance, Egyptian, cameo and classical lines. Making their own reproductions of semi precious stones from bohemian glass, they have produced many uniquely coloured, beautiful jewellery pieces over the years. Other companies associated with/bought by Miracle are Quarrier Ward & Ward Brothers, producers of Jewellery marked Mizpah and Sol D'or. In 2013 Miracle closed its Birmingham base, its ownership was taken over by St Justin and its now based in Cornwall.
