Collection: Charles Horner
Charles Horner was an English jeweller and silversmith, best known for his Art Nouveau enamelled jewellery, silver hatpins, and the patented "Dorcas" thimble. He founded Charles Horner of Halifax in the 1860s, producing intricate silver designs that became highly collectible. His company later expanded into plastic jewellery, introducing Dorcasine, a casein-based material. Though the business thrived into the 20th century, it eventually closed in 1984.
