Countess Cissy Zoltowska was an Austrian-born jewellery designer, known for her bold, colourful creations featuring rhinestones, crackled glass cabochons, and elaborate bib-style necklaces. She began designing ceramic jewellery in Switzerland before moving to Paris in the 1950s, where she collaborated with Balenciaga, Pierre Balmain, and Jacques Fath. Her pieces, often inspired by floral and theatrical motifs, gained international recognition, appearing in Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. Later, she expanded her designs to New York department stores before relocating to the United States in 19672.
