1942 Chester Engraved Silver Hinged Bangle featuring a beautiful engraved silver bangle with slide clasp and integral safety chain. This lovely bangle has scrolled engravings on the one side and is plain on the other side. It has the Chester hallmark, (the Chester assay office closed in 1962), and the date mark 'R' is closest in resemblance to the 'R' for year 1942. The lion confirms it is silver. The makers mark, the shield, is worn on the one side, but the 'S' is visible on the right, possibly Joseph Smith. It measures 17cm internal circumference and it is 1.7cm wide and it weighs 20.7g.
