Archimede Seguso for The House of Chanel Vintage Murano Glass Clip On Earrings Cobalt Blue and Emerald Green from the documented collaboration 1950s -1960s.  Featuring a pair of hand worked Murano glass earrings in rich cobalt blue and emerald green, the design comprises intertwined looped glass forms, sometimes called bent pipes, tubes or rods with gold tone metal accents.  The earrings have the distinctive gold tone circular backs and clip mechanisms used during this collaboration.  They are unsigned as is common with many pieces produced by Venetian glass artist Archimede Seguso (Seguso Vetri d'Arte) for the House of Chanel during this period.

They measure 2.7cm high and 2.3cm wide and together they weigh 17.3g.  The glass is intact, with no chips or cracks and the colours remain strong.  There is slight age-related wear to the gold tone metal backs consistent with age and there is slight 5mm turn movement to one of the metal backs, but all components are complete and secure.  Beautiful rich tones of cobalt blue and emerald green glass.

These beautiful earrings belong to a series of costume jewellery where Seguso supplied coloured glass components for Chanel accessory lines.  Similar blue/green looped or tube designs from this collaboration often formed part of matching parures.  Great for collectors of Murano glass jewellery or vintage Chanel costume pieces.
