Attwood and Sawyer was founded in 1956 in Porthcawl, Wales by Mr Horace Attwood and Mr Sawyer. Many of the designs, now highly collectible, were inspired by historical references, including their most recognisable collection inspired by the jewellery collection of the Duchess of Windsor. Popular in the UK and Europe, they went on to produce the jewellery for the television series Dynasty amongst others.
Toucans are vibrant symbols of communication, playfulness, and self-expression. With their bold, colorful beaks, they represent individuality and the importance of standing out with confidence. In many cultures, toucans are seen as messengers between the physical and spiritual realms, embodying clarity and a connection to higher truths. Their presence in tropical ecosystems also associates them with abundance, joy, and harmony with nature, making them a powerful emblem of creative expression and vitality.
