Established in 1984 by Dutch jeweller Herman Tiggeler in Obdam, the Netherlands, Ermani Bulatti is a name synonymous with distinctive and luxurious jewellery. The brand’s unique moniker combines “Ermani,” inspired by the founder’s first name, Herman, with “Bulatti,” thought to derive from the Dutch words van Berk and the French word Bouleau, reflecting a blend of cultural influences.

Known for integrating elements from Art Deco and Art Nouveau styles with Italian and Egyptian inspirations, Ermani Bulatti’s collections feature elaborate designs that captivate and charm. Signature motifs are drawn from nature to include dragonflies, butterflies, and lizards, elegantly combined with large, exquisite crystals and delicate Art Deco and Art Nouveau designs. Each piece is expertly crafted using premium materials such as mother of pearl, shells, pearls, ivory, silk, and semi-precious stones. The metals, often brass, are treated to achieve luxurious finishes of oxidised silver, gold, tin, or bronze.

Ermani Bulatti pieces were exclusively available in elite boutiques in major cities like London, Milan, Paris, and Amsterdam until, it is thought, the brand ceased operations in 2012. Today, these pieces are highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts for their artisanal quality and enduring beauty.
