Giuliano Fratti Peach Satin Glass Clip On Earrings featuring a pair of mid-century modern clip on earrings by the highly sought after Giuliano Fratti who worked for Dior as well as Chanel. Comprising peach satin glass curved and flat topped cabochons set onto a simple curved gold tone metal plate. They are signed on the base of the clips 'GM' and 'Made In Italy' on the back of the clips. These beautiful earrings measure 2.5cm high and 2cm wide and together they weigh 14.0g.
Giuliano Fratti, Milan 1906 -1992. Based in Milan between 1930 and 1940 producing buttons, belts and buckles. During the second world war the company switched to the production of fashion jewellery. In 1950 Fratti arrived in New York with a collection of his own creations inspired by his travels to exotic locations. In 1954 he worked for Dior at which time his signature style was gilded metal and glass beads. He was recognised and used by both the Couture Houses of Worth and Chanel and later by Pierre Cardin in the 1960's.
