Justinian Byzantine Coin Clip On Earrings featuring a replica coin or follis. The coin was made during the reign of Justinian in Byzantium or today's Athens. Justinian ruled from 524 - 567 AD. On the back of the coin there is a large letter 'M' with 'ANNO' (meaning year) to the left and 'XII' to the right. These lovely earrings have a bright smooth gold tone finish and are edged loosely with a matt gold finish giving them an attractive aged look. The discs are slightly domed and have the off-centre edges add an authentic feel. They measure 3.8cm diameter and together they weigh 27g.
