RARE Attwood and Sawyer 1960's Gold Plated Leaf Brooch with Crystal Midrib comprising a stylised textured gold plated leaf with smooth gold highlights at the edges and on the stem, with a silver tone midrib channel set with clear crystals. It has a rollover clasp and is signed on the textured reverse A&S. It is 5.4cm long and 3.1cm at its widest point and weighs 21g.
Attwood and Sawyer was founded in 1956 in Porthcawl, Wales by Mr Horace Attwood and Mr Sawyer. Many of the designs, now highly collectible, were inspired by historical references, including their most recognisable collection inspired by the jewellery collection of the Duchess of Windsor. Popular in the UK and Europe, they went on to produce the jewellery for the television series Dynasty.
