Attwood and Sawyer 22ct Gold Plated Geisha Girl Brooch featuring a Geisha Girl, whose face remains hidden behind her large round parasol of concentric circles of clear and very sparkly Swarovski crystals. She wears a bright red enamelled Kimono with the occasional blue and green bezel set Swarovski crystals. Her Kimono is edged and hemmed with clear claw set Swarovski crystals including the main sash. She measures 5.8cm long and 2.5cm at her widest point and she weighs 17.6g. This charming brooch has a rollover clasp and is signed A&S on the textured 22ct gold plated reverse. A hard to come by piece and very beautiful too.
Attwood and Sawyer was founded in 1956 in Porthcawl, Wales by Mr Horace Attwood and Mr Sawyer. Many of the designs, now highly collectible, were inspired by historical references, including their most recognisable collection inspired by the jewellery collection of the Duchess of Windsor. Popular in the UK and Europe, they went on to produce the jewellery for the television series Dynasty.
