RARE Attwood and Sawyer Large Winged Insect Swarovski Crystal 22ct Gold Plated Necklace featuring an integral gold plated insect pendant with open work Swarovski crystal pave set wings and head with a faceted brown Swarovski Crystal abdomen. The snake chain is 42cm long with an decorative hinged fold over clasp. The integral pendant is 3cm high and 3.5cm at its widest point. The necklace weighs 16.8g and it is signed A&S on the reverse.
Attwood and Sawyer was founded in 1956 in Porthcawl, Wales by Mr Horace Attwood and Mr Sawyer. Many of the designs, now highly collectible, were inspired by historical references, including their most recognisable collection inspired by the jewellery collection of the Duchess of Windsor. Popular in the UK and Europe, they went on to produce the jewellery for the television series Dynasty.
